Biobank agreement

Medical research, innovation and development advances the diagnostics and availability of new treatments and precise medicines for the treatment of cancer. To conduct research, researchers need comprehensive amounts of samples from different patient groups. Biobank samples can be utilized in various medical research projects, both now and in the future.

Donating a sample to the biobank is voluntary, and is based on your consent and agreement. Typical biobank samples include blood or tissue samples taken during medical examination and treatment. In the biobank, samples and personal information are processed according to the data protection regulations of confidential information; confidentially and with respect for the individual’s privacy.

By giving a sample to the biobank you can support the research being conducted on your illness. This helps to develop more effective research and treatment methods, which you or those close to you can benefit from in the future in the form of more individually tailored treatment.
