Information for researchers
The high quality cancer research being conducted in the Eastern collaborative area includes basic, translational and clinical research on various cancer types.
The University of Eastern Finland Multidisciplinary Cancer Research community (RC CANCER) operates as a part of the KYS Cancer Treatment Center network organization, and brings together multidisciplinary cancer researchers from the University of Eastern Finland and the Wellbeing Services County of North Savo.
The NovaCan/Cancer Treatment Center brings together cancer treatment and research professionals from the Wellbeing Services County of Central Finland.
The Wellbeing Services County of Central Finland (HYVAKS) Cancer diagnostics and research development group, which includes the units of pathology, surgery and oncology, studies different malignant tumors and develops related diagnostics. The research work is active and includes collaboration with the University of Jyväskylä (JYU).
The FICAN East Scientific Working Group advances the communication and collaboration between researchers both regionally and nationally.
