Cancer Nursing Network

The Cancer Nursing Network has operated in the KUH Cancer Center since 2021, and will be expanding to the whole Eastern collaborative area in 2025.

The purpose of the network is to promote collaboration and interaction between cancer treating units and different actors. The aim is to use networking to advance the development of shared practices in different phases of the cancer patient treatment pathway.

The Cancer Nursing Network consists of care professionals working in cancer treating units – specialized cancer nurses as well as professionals from supporting services such as physiotherapy, nutrition, sexual therapy, rehabilitation and palliative care. The head nurse of the Center for Medical Services acts as the network’s chair.

Network meetings involve addressing shared areas for development, as well as discussing how they can be improved. Shared meetings enable the sharing of good practices and standards between professionals and different units, and offers an active platform for topics varying from recognizing common needs for development to advancing the implementation of developmental goals.
