Screening registry

As part of the Cancer Registry, the National Screening Registry was established in 1968. This registry collects national data on various screening programs, guides the implementation of cancer screenings, and evaluates these screenings nationwide.

Screening statistics and annual reports

The Finnish Cancer Registry publishes official screening statistics and related annual reports on screening programs. These annual reports provide a concise overview of cervical and breast cancer screening programs, presenting them from perspectives such as participation, results, temporal development, and costs.

Submission of screening data

Screening data is submitted directly from healthcare information systems via secure SFTP data transfer, based on the data specifications published by the registry.
