FICAN South Project Funding
We annually launch a project call for development activities aligned with the priority areas of FICAN South’s goals. The project call is targeted at the parties to the FICAN South agreement (HUS, University of Helsinki, South Karelia Wellbeing Services County, Kymenlaakso Wellbeing Services County, Päijät-Häme Wellbeing Services County), whose tasks are related to cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment or rehabilitation, cancer research, and/or cancer-related education. Projects must include participants from at least two of the FICAN South agreement parties.

- Improving treatment outcomes in cancer patients with thromboprophylaxis: Apixaban versus standard treatment during neoadjuvant chemotherapy for bladder cancer patients and after urological, abdominal and gynecological cancer surgeries – randomized ACB and ARTS studies
