Cancer screening quality manuals

The quality manuals for cancer screenings are intended to support decision-making and operations for those responsible for organizing and practically implementing screening. The manuals provide recommendations based on research and practical experience for implementing effective and cost-effective screening programs.

The quality manuals provide detailed guidance on the various stages of a screening program, from sending invitations to follow-up screenings and reporting screening data to the National Cancer Registry.

The quality manuals for the cancer screening programmes have been prepared by screening-specific expert groups appointed by the Steering Group for Cancer Screening.
