Administration and decision-making
FICAN’s national activities are guided by the national management board, which includes three members from each regional cancer center and one member from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (STM). The director of the coordinating unit (Director of FICAN) is responsible for overseeing national operations in collaboration with the directors of the regional cancer centers.
Regional activities are managed according to separate agreements by each regional cancer center’s steering group. These groups include representatives from the wellbeing service counties (HUS in the case of FICAN South) and the regional medical university.
